The Past Perfect Tense
অতীতকালের দু'টি কাজের মধ্যে যেটি অপেক্ষাকৃত পূর্বে সম্পন্ন হয়েছিল সেটি Past Perfect Tense এবং অন্যটি Past Indefinite Tense হয়।
বাংলায় চিনবার উপায়: কোন নির্দিষ্ট অতীত ঘটনার পূর্বে ছিল, ছিলে, ছিলাম, ছিলেন, ল, লাম, লে, লেন, ত, তাম, তেন, তে- এদের কোন একটি যোগ থাকে।
Structure: Subject+Had+মূল Verb- এর Past Participle.
I had reached the college before the examination began.
Affirmative: I had done the work.
Negative: I had not done the work.
Interrogative: Had I done the work?
Neg-Int: Hadn’t I/Had I not done the work?
