 Rabindranath Tagore (7th May 1961- 7th August 1941): He was a Bengali poet, novelist, playwright, painter, short story writer, composer, musician,Singer, actor and philosopher.

 It is considered the greatest literary of the Bengali language He was conferred the title of Kaviguru and Poet of the word. He was born in the Tagore family of Calcutta.

He wrote 13 novels, 52 poetry, 36 essays, 38 plays, 115 short stories. He also composed many songs. He received the Nobel Prize for Literature for the Gitanjali in 1913, and was the first Nobel prize among South Asian nations.

(তিনি ছিলেন বাঙালি  কবি,ঔপন্যাসিক,নাট্যকার,চিত্রকর,ছোটগলপকার,প্রাবন্ধিক,সংগীতস্রষ্টা,

কণ্ঠশিল্পী, অভিনেতা ও দার্শনিক।তাকে বাংলা ভাষার সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ সাহিত্যিক মনে করা হয়।

তাকে কবিগুরু ও বিশ্বকবি অভিধায় ভূষিত করা হয়।কলকাতার ঠাকুর পরিবারে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন।

তিনি ১৩ টি উপন্যাস,৫২টি কাব্যগ্রন্থ,৩৬টি প্রবন্ধ,৩৮টি নাটক,১১৫টি ছোটগল্প রচনা করেন।এছাড়া তিনি বহু গান রচনা করেছেন ।১৯১৩ সালে গীতাঞ্জলি কাব্যগ্রন্থের জন্য তিনি সাহিত্যে নোবেল পুরস্কার লাভ করেন।এবং দক্ষিণ এশীয়দের মধ্যে তিনিই প্রথম নোবেল পুরস্কার লাভ করেন। )
