"Pahela Baishak" The first month of Bengali calender ,Known as Bangla Nababarsha.  This day ia a  Traditional New Year's Day of Begali nations.The day is celebrated with the special festival as new year in Bangladesh and West Bengal.It is considered as a universal folk festival of the Bengalis.According to the Gregorian calendar,the festival is celebrated every year on 14th April of Bangladesh.

                                                                                         

                                                                             

According to the modern Bengali calender set by the Bangla Academy,this day has been specified.According to Chandrasura Bangla calender in West Bengal,April 14 or 15 Pahela Baishakh is celebrated.

                                               

These festival are celebrated through various activities such as procession as known as "Mangal Shova jattra",fair,eating Pantabhat, halkhata etc.The  Benggali New Year's Traditional greeting is "Shuvo Nababarsha".During the new year,there is get out a rally in Bangladesh. In 2016,UNESCO announced this festival procession,organized by the Univesity of Dhaka as "invaluable cultural heritage of humanity.

                                            

Mughal emperor Akbar introduced Bangla calender.The festival of Pahela Baishakh began from the time of Akber.The counting of the Bangla calendar began from 10th March or 11th March 1584.

People in the village wake up early in the morning, go after new clothes and go to relatives and friends. The houses are cleaned and decorated fairly well. There is also special dietary arrangement. Call the sun for the new year through the music festival of Chayanat,the centenary cultural organization of the main event of Pahela Baishakh  in Bangladesh's capital Dhaka.After the first Baishakh sunrise,the artists of the chayanat call the new year singing a song together  Although the place is known to as a bot root, but the tree that is actually not a bot tree,it is a ashattha tree.

                                              

The great writer Rabindranath Tagore wrote a poem about Pahela Boishakh which is now being sung as Baishakhi music.The Baishakhi song is....
