In the process of introduction of quota system after the liberation war of Bangladesh, the expectation of job seekers and general students are holding protests. After the independence of Bangladesh, the first quota system was introduced in 1972 for the government job. At that time, 20 percent allotment of merit list was given, 40 percent were district-based, 30 percent for the family members of freedom fighters participating in the liberation war, and 10 percent of all the women affected by the war. This quota system was changed several times later.
                                                                           

According to the information published in Prothom Alo, the number of registered freedom fighters is two-two and a half lakhs. Currently, there are more than 55 percent quota for different government jobs in Bangladesh, including freedom fighters quota 30 percent, district-wise quota 10 percent, for women 10 percent and small ethnic group 5 percent. However, according to the rules, if there are no eligible candidates in these quotas, then 1 percent of the allocated for the disabled.

4. Do not keep any special tests in quota.
