Present Indefinite Tense এর বর্ণনামূলক আলোচনা ।

                                         Present Indefinite Tense

                                                                           

 যে Tense দ্বারা বর্তমানে কোন কাজ করা ,অভ্যাস বা চিরন্তন সত্যকে বুঝায় তাকে  Present Indefinite Tense বলে ।
বাংলায় চেনার উপায় : বাংলা বাক্যের শেষে কর, করি করিস,করে করেন ,যাই,যান ,যাস ,যাও ,পড়,পড়ে পড়েন,পড়িস,ঘুমায় ,ঘুমা,ঘুমাও ,ঘুমান ইত্যাদি থাকলে Present Indefinite Tense হয় । যেমন :
1.সে  ঘুমায় ।
2.তিনি বই পড়েন ।

Structure: Sub + verb+object+extension 
Example in English :1.He sleeps .
                                  2.She/he reads a book .
                                  3.I don't like smoking .
                                  4.He is a student.
Subject third person singular number অর্থাৎ he ,she,it Rahim,Kader,School,College প্রভৃতি হলে এবং এর পরে  be verb হলে is আর regular verb হলে verb এর সঙ্গে  s বা es যোগ হয় । যে সকল verb এর শেষে ss,sh,ch ,x এবং o থাকে তাদের শেষে es যোগ করতে হয় 
যেমন-
He goes to school.
Rima reads well.

Present Indefinite Tense এর ব্যবহার :

1.চিরন্তন সত্য বা ( Universal truth ) বুঝাতে;
The sun rises in the east .

2. অভ্যাসগত কর্ম বা (Habitual fact ) বুঝাতে;
She goes to bed at ten o'clock everyday.

3.অতীতকালের কাজ বর্তমান কালের কাজ রুপে বুঝাতে;
Humayun ascends the throne .

4.ভবিষ্যতে  কোন কাজ হবে বুঝাতে অনেক সময় এ Tense  হয় ।
Ramadan begins in the next month.

5. লেখকের উক্তি বর্ণনা করতে ;
Shakespeare says :Life is a tale told by an idiot .

6.Newspaper এর Headline হিসেবে এ Tense ব্যবহৃত হয় .

7.Conditional Sentence এ  ব্যবহৃত হয় ;
If he comes ,I will go .

8.Always ,often ,usually,occasionally ,naturally , sometimes, everyday,every week, twice, on Fridays,ইত্যাদি  Phrase এর সাথে এ Tense ব্যবহৃত হয় ।

9.যে সমস্ত verb ( যেমন- love,see ,feel,seem,hear,look ,smell,think,expect,taste,believe,understand,assume etc  )এর  continuous form হয় না সেগুলো Present Indefinite Tense হয় যেমন-
I see a bird .(not I am seeing a bird )

 10.যদি Subordinate Clause until,as soon as ,when ,before  ইত্যাদি   Conjunction দ্বারা শুরু হয় এবং  তা যদি ভবিষ্যতকালের অর্থ বুঝায় তবে  Principal Clause এর verb ভবিষ্যতকালের হলেও এ Tense ব্যবহৃত হয় ।যেমন-

I shall wait until you come back.
As soon as the rain stops,we shall start playing.

Voice এর ক্ষেত্রে Present Indefinite Tense এর ব্যবহার :

Structure :
Active voice : Sub +  Present Form of verb +Object + Others
Passive voice: Active voice এর Object টি Subject হয় + am /is /are +past participle of verb + by + active voice এর Subject টি Object হয় ।যেমন-

He write a letter                                    A letter is written by him.

 বিভিন্ন Sentence বা বাক্যে Present Indefinite Tense  এর ব্যবহার:

Affirmative                                   Negative
He goes to school.                        He does not go to school.
I like him .                                    I don't like him.
She is my sister.                           She is not my sister


Assertive                                     Interrogative
He is my brother.                        Is he my brother?
I like him.                                    Do I like him?
He goes to school.                       Does he go to school
This is mine   .                             Is this mine?
