Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar was born on September 26, 1820 in Birsingh village of Midnapore district in West Bengal.Thakurdas BandyopadhyayBhagwati Devi.His descendant, Bandapadhyay, Vidyasagar is his title.Ishwar Chandra came to Karakata with his father at the age of eight, after completing his lesson in his village.After completing his one year study at Shivshalan Mallick's house school, he was admitted to Sanskrit College in 1829.He studied continuously for twelve years in this college, and he earned scholarship in poetry, ornament, vedanta, retention, justice and astrology.


After completing the feat in all the examinations, the title of Vidyasagar was obtained.In 1841 he joined the Fort William College as a Head Scholar in the Department of Bangla.Later he became the Principal of Sanskrit College.After the government appointed special school inspector, 20 model schools and 35 girls' schools were established under her supervision.His unique dedication to setting up the Metropolitan College (present day Vidyasagar College) at the cost of his own money.


In the first verse Ishwarchandra introduced the punctuation in order to bring discipline into Bangla prose.He is called the first artist of Bangla prose.In addition to teaching, his contributions to the promotion and promotion of social reform and free thinking were comparable.His contribution to the social welfare of widow marriage and women education in the society and to eliminate social curses such as polygamy and child marriage, is very rewarding.


In then Hindu society, there was a ban on widow marriage, child marriage and polygamy were common.He started literary and social movements in order to prevent widow marriage, prevent child marriage and prevent polygamy by introducing logical arguments in different scriptures.Vidyasagar devoted himself to writing sensational and compulsive writing.


He wrote that ’the proposal for widowhood should be continued’.And ’whether the polygamy should be abrogated is the trial’.In the hands of Vidyasagar, the Bangalee community was not only liberated from the freedom movement, but also the Bengali literature gained its prosperity.He gave an introduction to the outstanding mindset of textbooks.His first book Betal Panchabinshati (1847)
